Ronaldo interested in CBF presidency

The 35-year-old, who hung up his boots last year, is currently heavily involved in his countries World Cup preparations, after becoming a member of the Local Organising Committee in December.
''I want to start a political career in football,'' Ronaldo told Folha de São Paulo. ''I do not know if I would be a candidate for the CBF presidency, but I would accept it.
''I see a big margin for improvement in football. I think that even though I gave such a big contribution when I played football, I can be much more useful off the pitch.
''I need to have full knowledge of CBF's statutes. Thanks to God, money is not my focus or my objective.
''As such, I can do the kind of things which give me pleasure, like accepting LOC's offer.
''After the World Cup, we will see. It is too early to talk now. I want to play a big part right now, when this event takes place.''
