Marin gives Menezes his backing

The new Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) president José Maria Marin, has assured Mano Menezes that his job as coach of the national team is under no threat.

Menezes has come under intense pressure after Brazil's disappointing campaign at the Copa America last summer, where the five-time world champions were knocked out by Paraguay in the quarter-finals.

However Marin, who replaced Ricardo Teixeria on Monday, is not thinking about a change in the dugout. He told Rádio Bandeirantes:

''The team is in a rebuilding process. We have to give credit to Menezes and his technical staff.''
