Yesterday there was eight first leg matches in the UEFA Cup Round of 32.

A wonderful goal from Maxwell gave AFC Ajax a one-goal advantage to take into the second leg tie with AJ Auxerre. The left back races into the penalty area from the left after a great one-two with Van der Vaart and hammers it into the top corner for a goal.

Sporting recovered from conceding an early goal to take a 2-1 advantage into the second leg tie with Feyenoord. Right-back Rogerio, central defender Polga, midfielder Rochemback and striker Liedson all played for Sporting. The first goal came after a mistake from Anderson Polga, which was latched upon by Bart Goor who fired in the home goal. On 22 minute Rogerio was on hand to force the ball over the line after Custodio failed to oblige. Liedson then put Sporting ahead om 36 minute.

Sevilla has lost 0-1 in match with Panathinaikos. Daniel Alves, Renato, Adriano Correia and Baptista all played 90 minutes for Sevilla. None from them didn’t make something special.

Valencia has had a 2-0 win on home soil against Steaua Bucharest but

Fábio Aurélio left on the bench.

Midfielder Simplicio came on 70 minute in Parma’s draw 0-0 with Stuttgart on home soil. Striker Cacau played for Stuttgart from start minute.
