Manchester United's Anderson to miss title run-in

Manchester United have been dealt a blow with the news that Brazil midfielder Anderson will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring tear.

Anderson, 23, has had terrible luck with injuries in his spell at Old Trafford and this latest injury, picked up in training last week, is just the latest in a string of problems.

Starting the season as first-choice, Anderson enjoyed a fine spell of form alongside Tom Cleverley in the United midfield, but both players have struggled for fitness since.

The injury is yet another blow to Anderson's chances of adding to his eight caps for Brazil in the near future.
