Scolari, who"s reign in charge of the West London club lasted just seven months, admits he"s not surprised by André Villas-Boas"s sacking.

In similar circumstances to the Portuguese commander"s dismissal, Scolari fell out with some of Chelsea"s leading players, especially Ivorian striker Didier Drogba.

"The dismissal is strange. Although it"s not that strange because of what I went through when I was there, the 63-year-old told Globoesporte.

"Some things are known, like the relations with the chairman, who has a relationship with some of the players before the coach.

"Villas-Boas was a champion of everything and he will continue to be.

"Over there, the situation was that he had to replace atleast seven or eight players [at Chelsea] and he knew that since he arrived – but he couldn"t.

"It"s going to be hell for who ever takes over [as coach]."
