Sacchi: Robinho in the bag

Arrigo Sacchi has confirmed that Real Madrid have already sealed a deal for

starlet Robinho. The 21-year-old forward had admitted earlier in the week

that the Spanish titans had submitted an ‘official offer’ for him, but

insisted no deal had yet been finalised. However, Sacchi, director of

football at Real, claims Los Merengues have already tied up a transfer that

will see him arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer. “He’s ours”

Sacchi told Gazzetta dello Sport when quizzed whether Robinho would be moving

to Madrid. The Brazilian has long been a target for Real and was tipped to

complete a move to Real during the January transfer window. However, the

kidnap of his mother put paid to the prospect of a rapid transfer being

completed, and striker ended up staying at Santos.
