La Liga strugglers Málaga say they recently rejected a pair of offers from Japan for striker Marcio Amoroso.

Reportedly, Nagoya and Vissel Kobe were the suitors spurned, despite the Brazilian’s indifferent form and one-year contract.

Malaga director of sport Manuel Ruiz Hierro confirmed that the Primera strugglers had fielded interest in Amoroso, but insisted they had no hesitation in responding in the negative.

“Our response was clear,” stated technical director Manuel Ruiz Hierro. “Málaga was not interested at any time in the transfer.”
