After forward Ronaldo, the trainer could not rely on Porto’s forward Luis Fabiano.

Monday, the CBF have announced on its official web site that the player has not been released by the Portuguese club. Unfortunately, the Brazilian Federation can’t be opposed to this decision.

Indeed, an agreement finalized between the Conmebol, the FIFA and the UEFA provide that each European club is obliged to release only one player per friendly match played by South American selections out of Europe.

So, the Portuguese club has decided to give up offensive midfielder Diego to the Seleção which will play against Hong Kong, Wednesday. Real Madrid have done the same thing keeping Ronaldo and releasing Roberto Carlos.

Parreira, who can’t rely on these main forwards, has confirmed for the moment that Betis Sevilla’s forward Ricardo Oliveira will start the match in the front of the Brazilian attack. The other place will fight over between Robinho and Júlio Baptista.
