It’s understood that the Giallorossi have the option to sign the versatile midfielder on a permanent contract in the summer for a fee of €5 million, assuming that the Brazilian impresses at the Stadio Olimpico.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Roma coach Luis Enrique said he feels Marquinho’s versatility makes him an important addition to his side.
”Marquinho has quality and experience. It’s not easy to bring in a foreign player in the winter transfer market because he needs time to adapt,” the Spanish tactican said.
”He has to learn the language and get to grips with what we want from him. We’ve signed a promising player.
”He can play in central midfield, further forward in the hole, at full-back or up front. He can become an important member of this team.”
