Sam Allardyce has confirmed to Sky Sports that the player is in London and that the club are working on a loan-deal for the 23-year-old, with the option to buy in the summer.
“He’s arrived today so we’ll go through the normal procedure and at the end of that make a decision,” said Allardyce.
When asked if he was optimistic about the chances of a deal, the West Ham boss relied: “At the moment yes, because he’s in the building!
“He’s here, he’s flown in from Italy and he arrived this morning and we go through the normal procedures as we do with everybody in terms of whether we sign them on short or long-term, making sure they’re absolutely 100 per cent fit to join us.”
