Santos midfielder Elano has confirmed he is joining Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 23-year-old has penned a five-year deal in Ukraine with the transfer fee believed to be around £5 million.
Elano had concerns about moving to Europe, but was given a tour of the region in order to settle in his new surroundings.
“I was a little worried about going to a little-known place,” explained Elano.
“So I went there last year, they showed me everything and I like it a lot.
“They gave me everything I ask for. I didn’t ask for a lot of money.
“I just wanted me and my family to be comfortable because I know it’ll be difficult.”
