Mallorca are on the verge of snapping up forward Felipe Melo from Cruzeiro.
The hit-man flew in to Spain on Wednesday evening with his agent Luis Vianna to put the finishing touches to a move to The Islanders.
The player has cut something of a controversial figure in Brazil recently, with press reports claiming he had threatened two youths with a knife during a fight in Rio de Janeiro. Vianna dismissed the story, insisting it was Melo himself who had been threatened at knife-point. Felipo Melo is now hoping to complete a switch to the Primera outfit and will become Mallorca’s fifth signing of the transfer window.
