Roberto Carlos moved to Anzhi Makhachkala from Corinthians at the start of 2011 and is currently player-coach for the Russian club.

The Brazilian world cup winner was interviewed by Radio Bandeirantes and spoke about the team’s transfer plans for the New Year. Carlos identified Santos’ Ganso and São Paulo’s Lucas Moura as their top targets.

“We are going to try and sign Ganso and Lucas Moura,” the former Real Madrid left back said.

Anzhi’s billionaire owner, Suleyman Kerimov, would be willing to pay out Ganso’s €50 million buy-out clause at Santos, as well as Lucas Moura’s, which is estimated around €80 million at São Paulo.
