Nilmar has been linked with a move back to Brazil in recent weeks, with his former club Internacional, as well as São Paulo, reportedly interested in the twenty seven year old.
However, according to the striker’s agent, Orlando da Hora, talks are already underway between Villareal and Roma, with it looking likely that an agreement will be reached in time for the January transfer window.
”I can only say that talks are strong and I believe we can soon close the deal with Roma,” Orlando da Hora told Spanish newspaper Super Deporte.
Villarreal are reportedly demanding around €20 million for Nilmar, making it virtually impossible for clubs like São Paulo and International to bring the Brazilian international back to his home country.
