Speaking at a press conference in Yokohama, the Spanish defender examined the characteristics of Neymar and had nothing but positive words for the Brazilian international.
”He is a different player, very dangerous; he’s defiantly the kind of player who can decide a game by himself because of his strong characteristic when it comes to one against one. He does things with the ball that other players cant do. Neymar is simply a brilliant striker,” said the thirty three year old.
Puyol is likely to be handed the challenge of stopping Neymar in the final of the Club World Cup on Sunday, providing that both Barcelona and Santos are able to come out victorious in their semi-final clashes.
The Brazilian side will take on Japanese champions, Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday (10:30 GMT), whilst the Catalan club take on, Al Sadd of Qatar on Thursday (10:30 GMT).
