Sevilla have snapped up Brazilian starlet Adriano Correia from Coritiba-PR as
they look to reinforce their defence for the second half of the season. The
20 years old left back has signed a deal with the Andalucian club until 2010,
that includes a buy-out clause of .50 million. Correia is highly rated in
Brazil and convoked for the Copa America last year alongside two of his new
team-mates, Julio Baptista and Renato. He was also part of the Under-20 side
that won the World Championships and is being groomed as Roberto Carlos’
replacement in the full squad. Sevilla have announced that the player will
arrive at the club on Saturday and will be presented on Monday, before
preparing to make his debut against Barcelona on January 30.
