Muricy praises Ganso fitness workGanso (l) has put the weeks on the sidelines to good use
"The work we did with him will always make a difference," said Muricy. "In football it is important that we show strength.
"I talked to him about it and said in front of everyone. He is buying into this idea. It will be good for him and Santos in the future."
Muricy also spoke, in his interview with Terra! about how they have emphasised education and physical development to the youngster. Ganso has been injury prone and the club hope he can turn around this trend.
"He has to know about how injuries develop, and to always take care of his muscles.
"Aside from the goal (against Atletico-GO), he is playing very well. What caught my attention is that he stole the ball off the opposition midfielders.
"It is something he does when he is fit and he needs to be strong to do it, "said the coach.
"The future (of the Seleção) in 2014 is Ganso, along with Neymar, of course."
