Palmeiras deliberate over Grêmio Kléber bid, as interest grows

Grêmio are hoping to wrap up a deal for the player that does not involve a player exchange, but Palmeiras are believed to be more interested if the deal could involve attacking midfielder Douglas.
"We are waiting," said Paulo Pelaipe, Director of Football at Grêmio. "Palmeiras are reviewing the second proposal, but I cannot reveal the difference in price to the first proposal.
"It is a game of chess. We know of other clubs interested, but we do not fear competition. We respect everyone.
"We are doing everything we can within the limits of Grêmio. We have a very good relationship with the directors of Palmeiras, right at the highest level.
"We are being looked after by Roberto Frizzo [Vice-President of Palmeiras]. We believe in positive outcome."
