Santa Cruz want Rivaldo in Serie C

Should Rivaldo not renew his current deal at São Paulo, he is expected to be offered an unexpected escape-route, to newly promoted Serie C club Santa Cruz.

Rivaldo, born in Pernambuco state, is declared supporter of the club and they hope to capitalise on this good feeling to secure the World Cup winner.

- There is (interest). I have a particular admiration for Rivaldo and the level to which he has representedt Pernambuco and Santa Cruz - said Luiz Antonio Neto, president of Santa Cruz to LANCENET! .

- He would be an attribute to Santa Cruz. A kind of partner, but there has been no proposal with figures - added the president.
