Santos to improvise with long list of absentees

With the high-profile absences of Neymar, Ganso and Elano, as well as youngster Felipe Anderson taking part at the Pan-American Games, Santos are being forced to improvise to find a creative spark for tonight's encounter with Grêmio.

LANCE! suggest that defensive midfielder Ibson will be moved forward into a more attacking creative role, with forward Alan Kardec also a doubt for the game through injury.

Whilst Ganso and Elano remain striken by injury, Neymar is serving a suspension following his dismissal in the week for dissent.

Another option for boss Muricy Ramalho,is to utilise Venezuelan Breitnar, who returned from loan last month. But, given th player's lack of opportunities, it is clear he is not trusted at Vila Belmiro and remains an unlikely pick.
