It was Alex Sandro’s first game since picking up an injury early in Brazil’s victorious Under-20 World Cup campaign, but depite his and ‘new Messi’ Juan Iturbe’s debuts, it was ex-Internacional foward Walter who grabbed the headlines.

The 22-year old forward bagged four goals, including a twelve minute first-half hat-trick as the reigning Champions strolled to victory.

Walter who has a good scoring record at Porto has struggled to get games since his Portugal move and has never truely recovered from a serious injury in his last season in Rio Grande do Sul.

Porto and Brazil supporters will hope the player can kick on from this success to kick-start his promising career.
