It was announced after the Costa Rica game that Fred would feature up-front against Mexico, just as he had done on Friday. But, now it seems Mano has had a change of heart and prolific Porto striker Hulk is in.
Brazil trained on Sunday evening in a match-situation with the starting eleven, as they had done before the Costa Rica game. However, there was a surprise when Hulk was included in the first-team rather than Fred.
The reasons are unclear, but with Fred’s performance against Costa Rica criticised there will be many pleased with the decision.
