Roberto Carlos' coaching career kicked off with a defeat as Anzhi were downed 1-0 at home to Lokomotiv Moscow

A goal from ex-Manchester City and Levante striker Felipe Caicedo was enough to down the Dagestan side, despite the inclusion of signings Samuel Eto'o and Jucilei.

Anzhi Makhachkala now lie in eighth position in the Russian Premier League and if Roberto Carlos wishes his coaching role to become permanent, he must set-about rectifying Anzhi's poor league form.

Next up on October 16, Anzhi travel to Spartak Nal'chik who currently lie in the relegation zone.
