The great Seleção sides of the past have been renowned for their attacking flair, but more recently the national team has become more known for their reliance on a tight defence and use of the counter-attack.

Now, however, Menezes looks set to go out and attack Argentina in Wednesday’s second leg of the Superclasico de las Americas, in response to a limp offensive display from his side in the first meeting despite a technically superior line-up.

As a result, the current Brasileirão top scorer Borges will come into the team for his first cap, playing up front alongside Santos teammate Neymar. Borges currently has 19 goals in the 2011 campaign, as was a surprise omission from the squad for the first leg.

With Leandro Damiao out through injury, Borges will now get his chance up front, as will Romulo in midfielder, who replaces the injured Paulinho. Ronaldinho will captain the side as Brazil hope to defeat their old rivals and lift the trophy.

The game takes place in Belem on Wednesday night, at 21:50 local time (Thursday morning, 01:50 UK time). Don’t forget to check back at Sambafoot on Thursday for a full report of the game!

Brazil team to play Argentina: Jefferson; Danilo, Dede, Rever, Cortes; Ralf, Romulo, Ronaldinho, Lucas; Borges, Neymar.
