AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri says that the number of injuries suffered by striker Alexandre Pato 'is not normal.'
Pato was recently ruled out for a month after picking up a hamstring injury, the eighth muscle problem the 21-year-old has suffered in the last two years. He visited a specialist in America last season, and the Milan board are concerned with the situation.
"When these injuries occur regularly, it is difficult to find a single cause," said Allegri. "We looked at all the possible problems with our doctors and they said it was unusual for a boy of his age to suffer from so many injuries.
"It is not normal," he continued. "With each separate injury, it is difficult to find a precise cause. Imagine, then, how hard it is for Pato, who has had eight. There is no certainty that when he returns to play he won't suffer more problems."
