Internacional 1-1 Coritiba

Inter got off to the perfect start when they took the lead in the opening minute. Leandro Damiao took a break from his recent fine scoring form to turn provider, as his low cross was turned in by Brazil Under 20s star Oscar.

The home side dominated the first half, with Damiao having a goal disallowed before missing a glorious one-on-one chance. They also hit the post and bar, but could not add to their lead, and were made to regret it two minutes after the break.

A powerful long range free-kick was glanced on by the head of Coritiba defender Emerson to equalise for the visitors, and ensured that the points were shared.

Cruzeiro 0-0 America Mineiro

Going into the game, Cruzeiro would have seen it as a great opportunity to pick up their first win in five attempts, while America knew that victory was vital in their bid to stave off relegation.

In the end, it was a result neither side would have been too pleased with. America remain rooted to the bottom of the table, while Cruzeiro are in danger of being sucked into a relegation battle themselves.

Atletico Paranaense 0-0 Figueirense

Another goalless draw, and another missed opportunity for a side near the bottom, as Atletico Paranaense failed to record a win. They were able to overtake Avai, and move up one place to 18th, but they will be ruing dropping key points.

For Figueirense, they have now slipped to 12th in the table after drawing their last three matches. They are in no danger of relegation worries curently, sitting eight points clear of the drop zone, but will want to start winning again soon to avoid a similar situation to that of Cruzeiro.
