Jose Bosingwa put Chelsea in front, before Grant Holt equalised for Norwich. As the game entered the final ten minutes, it looked like a disappointing home draw for the Blues, before Ramires stormed forward and was brought down by John Ruddy for a penalty.

Frank Lampard converted the spot-kick, and Juan Mata added a third to ensure two consecutive wins for Andre Villas-Boas’ side. Alex was an unused substitute for Chelsea, while David Luiz did not make the squad.

Elsewhere, Lucas put in a commanding midfield display to help Liverpool win 3-1 at home to Bolton Wanderers. Jordan Henderson, Martin Skrtel and Charlie Adam scored for the Reds, with Ivan Klasnic grabbing a late consolation for Bolton.

Bruno Perone made his league debut for Queens Park Rangers, and almost marked it with a goal when he headed against the bar against Wigan Athletic. However, he was unable to prevent a 2-0 defeat, with Franco Di Santo scoring twice for Wigan.
