The 57-year-old was admitted to hospital recently after suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding, but was quoted as saying he was on the mend on Wednesday.
“Socrates is doing very well,” his ex-wife Katia Bagnarelli told Lancenet. “We were very well treated during the time we spent here and he has won over everyone who has been taking care of him, cracking jokes and goofing around.”
