The two teams go head-to-head tomorrow night with a place in the final, against either Portugal or France, at stake. Uvini believes that the result should come first for Brazil, but also thinks the spectators are in for a treat.

“We are conditioned to win,” he said. “Those who come to the stadium will leave happy. I hope that we can play well, but the most important thing is the result.

“Mexico are a strong team. They have excellent players, who are quick and defend well. It was very difficult against Spain in the last match, and it will again be difficult against Mexico,” he added.

Brazil U20s play their Mexican counterparts tomorrow night in Pereira at 20:00 local time (02:00 Thursday morning UK time).
