The Brazilian football federation, CBF, recently announced that the Seleção would play the current African champions in their next game, in Cairo on September 6.

However, EFA president Samir Zaher has revealed that Egypt will not be available for a friendly on that date, due to commitments with qualifying games for the African Cup of Nations.

Zaher told Ahram Online: “The problem lies in the date of the match. We will have no problems playing the match if it is rescheduled for October.”

It is unknown if Brazil will now find new opponents for the date or not.
