The Brazilian moved from Palmeiras to Barcelona in 2009 and never played with the Catalan side. Last year he was sent back to Brazil on loan to Santos where he scored four goals in 13 appearances.
Newcastle United is reportedly preparing a £3million bid for the 22-year-old.
