The 21-year-old has moved for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five year contract with the Italian side. He will be officially presented as an Udinese player at a press conference later today.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Udinese can announce that it has acquired outright the rights of the defender Sergio Piccoli Neuton from Brazilian side Gremio. The player has signed an agreement for five years.”

Neuton can operate at either centre-back or left-back, and will help to fill the gap left by Cristian Zapata, who recently left the Champions League qualifiers to join Spanish team Villarreal.
