The media around the world is bewildered at the features for the semi final: Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.  “Big guns Brazil and Argentina crash out” reports  ITV.

While the guardian tackles the abscence of logic in the results.

Some publications are more bitter and criticise the stars. Goal.com says that Brazil and Argentina are as bas as England and that their crack players (Neymar, Sanchez,Aguero, Tevez) are overrated.

Riven from sportige.com goes further: “i hate the copa America,” he says. According to him it is a terrible tournament always has been but this year it is worst.

If there is one man who didn’t survive the critics in the headline this morning it is for sure Sergio Batista. the Argentinean coach is  judged guilty on all the fronts. “he is not a leader,” says goal.com. an argument CNN agrees with.

The Spanish magazine AS even reports that some fans are organising a petition to make Batista quit.

It seems that if such results provoke such passion, the Copa America is not that bad after all. Sometimes a team win and sometime they lose. Brazil and Argentina will always be the big guns of South American football whether they win or not, but they might not always be alone.
