The 25-year-old right back has long been linked with a move to the San Siro, and although reports from the Italian media that he had already signed for the club proved to be premature, his agent, Jeiki Tadic, says the transfer should soon go through.
“Negotiations are well advanced,” Tadic told Lancenet over the weekend. “We have not signed anything, but I think it is 95 per cent done. Because it is the weekend, Jonathan should travel on Monday or Tuesday to undergo a medical and sign a contract.”
Press reports in Italy state that the fee Inter will pay Santos for Jonathan is in the region of €5 million, and that Tadic has been in Milan for the past week discussing the deal with Inter officials.
