Ramalho was a bit surprise by his young striker’s performance against Venezuela. Neymar only shot twice at the goal and according to his coach at Santos he didn’t use all his creativity which is very unlike him still according to Ramalho. “Maybe he is a bit paralyzed there, maybe it is respect for the guys there that blocked him,” Ramalho said.

But for the most successful coach in the Brazileirao there is no doubt that Neymar has what it takes to become the best in the world. And he believes that he already reached the level of a Zico. “He has a rare talent,” Ramalho said. “Sometimes during training he does stuff that we can’t believe is real.”

The path to the top of World Football is still young for the 19-year-old, but he already showed sign of improvement, especially in his maturity. Indiscipline on and off the pitch has always been part of Neymar CV but Ramalho is proud to have provoked a change in his player’s attitude.

“He used to talk a lot, to complain and argue with the referee and the opponents, now he is more focused in what he does.”” Ramalho said. “Today who is better than him? In the whole world only Messi.”
