Fred said he was happy with the form the team was taking. And he believes that with Ganso playing behind Neymar and Robinho, the Selecao will score a lot of goals in this Copa America.
“Playing with Neymar and on top of that having Ganso distributing the game is the dream of every striker,” he said to gazetaesportiva. “Our opponents will have strong defenses but we are coming with those two guys plus Daniel and Andre, we the strikers will have a lot of chances to score.”
Only problem for him, for now he will watch the games from the bench as Menezes prefers Pato to lead the attacks. But Fred is certain that with work he will get a chance to be part of the titular.
“I always support my partners,” he commented. “But no player in the world can accept being a substitute, especially when playing for the National Team. I only played two games with Mano, it is little. I’m just happy to be here and I’ll try to score as much I can to become a titular.”
