Recent reports suggested that Silva had spoken to Barcelona and was waiting for Milan to negotiate with the current Champions League holders.
But his agent, Paulo Tonietto, told Gazzetta dello Sport that Silva is committed to his current club and that the links with Barca are pure speculation.
“Thiago Silva is happy in Milan,” said Tonietto. “He only recently signed a new long-term contract. Had he wanted to leave, he would not have extended his contract with Milan until June 2016.
“There’s absolutely nothing regarding those rumours, he is very happy with ‘I Rossoneri.’ His only thoughts right now are on the Copa America and winning the Champions League with AC Milan next season.”
