Vasco pay tribute to the returning star

The new shirt is a special edition for Juninho’s return. “Gol de quem?” (Whose goal?) is written on the front of it. And in the back, we can read: “Juninho Monumental”.

A drawing of Juninho’s face can be found in the inside. So that if the person who wears it brings the jersey on his/her face, as some players do to celebrate a goal, Juninho’s face will appear.

The shirt is a reference to a goal scored by the midfielder in 1998 for Vasco against River Plate. The goal insured Vasco’s qualification for the final of the Copa Libertadores, which they won against Barcelona-EQU.
