Later in the evening the CBF announced the names of the players concerned: Ramirez, Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, Julio Cesar.
Despite announcing five players dispensed the CBF only gave four names.
Julio Cesar said the decision didn’t come from the players’ request. It therefore seems that those players are guaranteed to play the Copa America and were consequently allowed to rest.
Mano Menezes said that he will only decide the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game on Monday. But logically the team should be as follow: Victor, Maicon, Lúcio, David Luiz, André Santos; Lucas, Sandro (or Anderson), Elano; Robinho, Neymar and Fred (or Leandro Damião).
