After an energetic start where each team had a good chance of scoring in the first 10 minutes, the game lost its vitality as both team tried to neutralize the adversary’s game.

While the Columbian team based its game in aerial balls, Santos relied on its forwards and middle fielders’ creativity.

And the reward came at the 42th minutes, in a move conducted by Neymar who found Alan Patrick free just outside the box. The young mid fielder who is substituting the injured Ganzo opened the score.

In the second half Santos nearly doubled the score and the game seemed to be over when Once Cladas was left with only 10 players following a red card. But the Brazilians couldn’t make advantage of the numerical superiority.

The game ended with a 0-1 result for Santos, and despite the good result there was a bit of fear and nervosity as Neymar had to leave the pitch on an injury. The club official later communicate that the young star was receiving treatments and should be ready for the second leg next week.
