You played for Fluminense since more than 6 years now. What retained you here?

Since the first day when I arrived here, I was very well received. Working in a club where you are well accommodated helped me play well with the team.

What do you think about the current level of the Carioca championship?
Marcão
During several years, our football was considering not so good but lately we are again competitive. Football in Rio reorganized, we have carried out a good Carioca championship. I think that the historical black spot remains the infrastructures. If we had good infrastructures, our football would be the best of the world!

What has changed this year with trainer Abel Braga and without stars like Romario, Edmundo or Roger?

Abel is a fantastic, marvellous person but he is especially a very good professional. He is one of the best Brazilian trainers. He came last year and made the club progress. I am sad about his departure. Romario, Edmundo and Roger are people quite as exceptional with whom I had the honour to play. I always support them, I do not like when they play against me…. We had problem in our group last year because we did not manage to form a plain team. But individually, all three are marvellous.

Which player impressed you the most here during your six years in the club?
Marcão
Many people have given me assistance and were always present at my side during my career. I do not want to quote names because I think that it would be unfair to quote only some people. I still thank them for their affection and their support during all this years.
