Roger, first we would find out about your change of appearance: is it a question of looks, or do you have some other more symbolic reason?

[photo=entroger.JPG id=113 align=right]Roger

It was not a question of looks. I had great hair I have for 3 years and I just wanted to radically change it. I took the decision to shave my head, however how it finished does benefit me on the field. Hair can get in the way when your are playing.

Which are yours objectives at Corinthians?

Roger

I having recently arrived at the club, my only objectives are almost always the same ones: to win championships, cups, and to beat the other big teams. It is clear that Corinthians are very good, with great players and the club is always working to strengthen its squad to win as much as possible.

You were once known as the Bad Boy of the Brazilian soccer, however, with Corinthians, you have shown much more maturity and seriousness. How do you explain this change?

Roger

I don’t think I was the Bad Boy of Brazilian soccer, but playing at Corinthians I am very serious, and I always try to show this to the supporters. The fans have to trust the player who is on the field and to know they are always striving towards victory, that is running fast, hard and dedicating yourself to giving your maximum for the team.

Roger

Currently, the São Paulo clubs have much bigger and better structure than Rio, But the clubs of the Rio are seeing a great improvement with Botafogo leading the way, but Corinthians is much better, our excellent training facilities are much better than compared with some other clubs here.

How would you justify to the coach your selection in the national team?

Roger

I think my performances at my club and also the clubs position in the league at the moment. By giving my all for my club I can then get the chance to do the same for my country.
