Cruzeiro’s Ramires Santos do Nascimento has agreed to join Benfica on a five-year deal. The player was one of the main priorities of Benfica boss Quique Sanchez Flores for next season and he is likely to replace Kostas Katsouranis, who could move to Hamburg of Germany.
Ramires is affectionately know by the fans and media as the “Queniano Azul”, or “Blue Kenyan”, in relation to Cruzeiro’s main color and his looks.
Benfica already have five Brazilians in their squad, these being Luisao, Fellipe Bastos, Marcelo Moretto, David Luiz and Sidnei.
