Lazio director Igli Tare has bemoaned the third-party owners involved in Felipe Anderson’s transfer from Santos this summer.

The 20-year-old has finally joined the Serie A side after lengthy negotiations, stretching back to the January transfer window.

The capital club struggled to find a compromise with his third-party owners and Anderson even threatened to take them to FIFA unless they helped the move go through.

And Lazio’s director of sport Tare is relieved to have finally landed the young midfielder, despite the complicated nature of the deal.

He told Il Messaggero: “It will remain in history as the most paradoxical and shocking negotiations I have ever been a part of.

“These third party owners changed their minds continually. When we had everything decided, they would start from scratch two hours later. It all happened for a full week, so it felt like being in the Twilight Zone.

“Felipe’s desire to come to Lazio was decisive. He chose us in January and never changed his mind despite the efforts of the third-party owners to bring in Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and many others. This makes us proud.”

It is being claimed that Santos will net €4 million from Anderson’s sale and 25 per cent of any future transfer fee for the midfielder.

Doyen Sports, the company who have an interest in the South American, will be handed €3.8m for their share, as reported on Football Italia.
