In the latest sign of an improving domestic league, Nike hope to sponsor at least one team in these four major Brazilian cities – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Porto Alegre.
The involvement of Nike would be another boost to the finances of the club’s concerned and deals should be sorted in December. The next target for Nike, Lance reveals, is a Minas Gerais side – likely either Atlético Mineiro or Cruzeiro, the two giant clubs of Belo Horizonte.
