According to France Football, Bastos, 27, wants to make the switch to Juve after two years at the Stade de Gerland.

The Bianconeri had an approach for Bastos rejected last summer, and another during the 2011 January transfer window, but he now expects the two clubs to reach an agreement.

Jean-Michel Aulas, the chairman of Lyon, told Italian newspaper Tuttosport that they were willing to negotiate with Juventus.

They are hoping to at least recoup the €18 million they paid to sign the player from Lille in 2009.

Bastos had been linked with Liverpool, but it is understood he has his heart set on a move to the ‘Old Lady.’

Also speaking to Tuttosport, he said: “I have had many personal accolades, but it’s time to win some trophies with another team, and I want to do it with Juvents.

“Last year I wanted to go, but now it’s time to wear the black and white.”
